Private Water Supplies
Required where:
- Where there is an existing private water supply in the development area or adjacent to it which might be impacted upon by the works;
- Where the development will include a new private water supply or borehole extraction point.
Guidance
The applicant must provide details of the intended provision of potable water to the development. In most cases this will be a mains supply, but in some rural areas and in relation to some commercial users of significant quantities of water, a private supply may be proposed.
Pre Application advice should be sought from the Environmental Health team.
