Agri-tech Grant
Please note that all funding for this grant has now been allocated. Expressions of interest are still invited, but please be aware that applications are not guaranteed to be assessed unless existing applicants withdraw or further funding becomes available.
This grant fund aims to support businesses who have been through our UKSPF Agri-Tech Alliance Project, piloting new technologies and products on their sites. Businesses will be referred to the scheme by our delivery partners for capital grants of between £5,000 and £20,000 to adopt the technologies which have been trialled on their sites.
Businesses who have not participated in the Agri-Tech Alliance Project are still welcome to apply, applications from those businesses who have participated are likely to be looked upon more favourably.
Eligible Organisations
- Businesses who have participated in our free-to-access Agri-Tech Alliance Project, and/or businesses operating in the agricultural sector.
- Businesses who can provide proof of being registered to pay tax in the UK.
Organisations that do not meet the above criteria, are not eligible to apply for this grant.
Business support organisations, including Libraries Unlimited and Business Information Point, will be able to make applications on behalf of eligible businesses they are supporting.
Businesses who have not participated in the Agri-Tech Alliance Project are welcome to apply, but applications from businesses who have participated are likely to be looked upon more favourably.
How to Apply

The application form will require the following information:
- Details about the business
- A summary of the project proposal, in less than 200 words, describing the Agri-Tech element they are seeking to implement.
- Which organisation will be delivering the project for your business, and how they were selected.
- Total project costs
- Amount of award requested from the Agri-Tech Adoption Grant Programme
- Any measurable outputs / outcomes the project will deliver.
- A recent (3 months) bank statement.
Proposals should focus on:
- What the project is.
- How does the project fit the criteria detailed in the ‘Purpose of the Grant’ section above?
Project proposals will be required to provide at least 50% of their total project costs as match funding for the programme.
Projects will be scored by a panel, against several criteria. These will include value for money, carbon footprint impact and economic benefit.
