Overview
If you need to sell or supply alcohol, late night hot food and drink or provide public entertainment, you will need to apply for a premises licence to be granted under the Licensing Act 2003.

Broadly speaking, a premises licence can authorise the following activities:
- the sale or supply of alcohol

- the provision of late night hot food and drink
Further information about what activities are licensable is given later in this guidance.
