Communities have the opportunity to improve their chances of buying local assets like the village shop, library, allotments and pub under the 'Community Right to Bid'. The Right applies to both private and public assets.
Remember the Right to Bid does not require the owner to sell to a community group; it only improves the chances of such an outcome.
The 'List of Assets of Community Value' and the 'List of Unsuccessful Nominations' can be found on the Assets of Community Value Page, as well as information how to nominate an asset.
If you are an owner of an asset nominated for listing, please read our Guidance for Owners.
If you wish to dispose of an asset that is listed as an Asset of Community Value, please use the template below:
