We will use your information in order to facilitate the testing of private water supplies. This notice sets out what we will do with your personal information and who we may share it with in respect of the above.

The Council is under a duty to protect the public funds it administers, and to this end may use the information you have provided on this form for the prevention and detection of fraud. In this regard it may also share your information with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds for these purposes such as the Police and the Department for Work and Pensions. In addition we also provide information to the Government's Cabinet Office under its National Fraud Initiative.
The Council is also under a duty to provide information to the Drinking Water Inspectorate for regulatory purposes and it may share data with the Statutory Water Undertaker to protect public health.
The Council will never sell your data to anyone else.
Your data will not be transferred outside the EU. It will be securely stored electronically within the UK only, unless it was necessary for safeguarding or for the prevention and detection of crime.
The Councils will retain personal data for a minimum period of 6 years from the date of analysis, under the Limitation Act 1980 (Section 2).
