The Council is processing this personal data as it is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Controller is subject under The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulation 2021. This is in accordance with Article 6 1(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
The following planning legislation and regulations require the Council to make publicly available the details of representations submitted as part of a neighbourhood plan consultation:
We will not normally share your information with organisations without your consent. However, there may be certain circumstances where we would share without consent such as where we are required to do so by law, to safeguard public safety, and in risk of harm or emergency situations. We will only share the minimum information for the purpose, on a need to know basis and with appropriate individuals.
The Council will never sell your data to anyone else.
Your data will not be transferred outside the EU. It will be securely stored electronically within the UK only, unless it was necessary for safeguarding or for the prevention and detection of crime.
The Councils will retain personal data for the minimum period necessary. This will be three years after adoption of the Neighbourhood Plan to ensure any legal challenge periods have expired. All information will be held securely and destroyed under confidential conditions.
