A guide to waste and recycling
We offer a bulky waste collection service for large household items that you can't get to the recycling centres.

If you have large household items that you can't take to one of the recycling centres, we can collect these from you for a small charge.
Some charities will also collect furniture and white goods for free.
This service is for households only; we cannot collect from businesses and we cannot collect business items (i.e. commercial fridges) from domestic properties.
We cannot collect building or renovation waste.
Items are collected on a Wednesday and must be outside the property from 7 a.m. on the day of collection. You can specify a date up to 12 weeks in advance when making your booking.
Each item costs £25. For example:
- A bedframe and headboard would be classed as one item
- A bed and mattress would be classed as two items
- A 3-piece suite would be classed as 3 items
What items can be collected?
This list is a guide to items we can and can't collect. It is not exhaustive, and if you have any questions you should contact the waste team.
