What’s new for our customers:

• A glass collection for businesses in Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe, on top of any of the existing collections available to businesses.
• Businesses in Salcombe can also sign up for trial collections of cardboard, tins and plastics in addition to the glass collection and other pre-existing collections.

We're offering the trials to build on what we already offer for businesses across the district who need commercial waste collections, commencing February 2025.

The trials will inform whether these services are suitable for the entire district in the future and help us to plan for rolling them out in different areas.

Trade waste bottle banks

We're expanding our Trade Waste Service to help you recycle even more. 

From February 2025, commercial premises with available space can even arrange for an exclusive-use large bottle bank to be placed on site. This bank will come with the option to secure (lock) for your exclusive use.

Introductory offer

You can take advantage of our introductory offer starting February 2025, if you select a large bottle bank as your glass waste container.

This offer applies to all new bottle bank containers registered between 1 February 2025 and 31 January 2026. 

Please note, if an additional container is ordered, the introductory offer will only apply to the first container. After these dates the standard rates will apply, standard rates are the current prices subject to change. 

• Standard pricing: 12 month contract (minimum) with an annual £160 rental fee, and £300 per collection requested.
• Introductory offer: £200 per the first two collections requested within the 12 months.

Selecting a large bottle bank as a glass waste container option could provide the following benefits to you as a business:

• The collection frequency is managed by you the customer, with collection and emptying completed on request.
• No unnecessary emptying, compared to regular scheduled weekly collections. 
• Economical collection reducing the impact on the environment, with one large collection, compared to weekly individual containers
• Our containers come with the option to be secured (locked) for your exclusive use. We can provide signage to clearly indicate that the container is designated for your waste only
• The ability to hold a large quantity and support additional trade and glass waste generated at irregular intervals. Allow customers to be confident in waste disposal solutions 
• Simplified charging as the containers collection would only be paid for when required and at the point of need, compared to regular weekly billing. 
• One large single container and collection point, simplifying waste storage and collection.
• Support space/storage for customers as it would eliminate the need for multiple small bins being required to be stored on site
• A large container allows for the business to have the flexibility of additional/overflow waste storage space, supporting spikes and irregular trade patterns businesses may face, allowing peace of mind their waste can be managed
