Transfer a Premises Licence

Information for people who need to transfer a premises licence to another person or company.

You can transfer a premises licence to another person or company. This usually happens when the premises has been sold from one person/company to another.

A transfer of the licence only changes the identity of the holder of the licence and does not alter the licence in any other way.

How to apply

To apply you must complete the relevant application form below and return it to the Licensing Department using the button below with the appropriate fee:

Make sure you include:

  • Premises licence or, if that is not practicable, a statement of the reasons for the failure to provide the licence.
  • Consent of the Premises Licence Holder to transfer the licence.
  • A photocopy of identification. This is to prove the persons have the right to work in the UK. This does not apply to Limited Companies.
