Find out about the many fantastic beaches within the South Hams.
All along the coastline of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) are lots of beaches and coves, some large, sandy and easy to access, others small, rural and remote.
Beaches owned or leased to South Hams District Council includes Slapton Sands, Salcombe North, Salcombe South and small sections of Sugary Cove, Bovisand and Beesands.

We have a beautiful coastline and numerous lovely beaches. Many of these are 'Designated Bathing Waters' which are regularly sampled.
All of our Designated Bathing Waters currently reach the required standards.
