Case Review
Community Trigger
The community trigger is a mechanism by which a perceived victim of ASB can request for their case to be reviewed by a multi-agency group of organisations that may have been involved in the case. This group is tasked with reviewing the complaints and steps taken to determine whether any further action could or should have taken place.
In Devon it has been agreed by the Police and Local Authorities that the community trigger point will be reached when requested and if there has been 3 separate reports of ASB in a rolling 6-month period, made to any of the partner agencies.
A community trigger meeting will then be arranged as soon as practicable with those agencies interested in the case. A notification of the outcome of the trigger meeting and agreed actions to be taken, will be sent to the person requesting the trigger within 5 working days of the meeting.
