Community Composting

What is a Community Composting Scheme?

Community Compost Schemes allow local communities to manage the organic waste they produce. It's environmentally responsible, not-for-profit and locally-owned.

South Hams District Council has recently launched its own community composting scheme to support local community composting groups over a two-year period. We hope this will encourage communities to establish composting schemes. We can now offer advice, information and sources of funding, where available and appropriate.
