Recycling and Waste - Bins

Our annual fixed price includes bin rental, waste collection, waste disposal, Duty of care and administration with no hidden extras. You receive just 1 annual invoice, with the option of paying in full or by monthly Direct Debit. All contracts are rolling with 28 days notice to terminate.

General Waste

General waste bin sizes range from a 240lt bin to a 1100lt bin. Prices start from as little as £8.05* per collection, plus bin rental.

*Depending on your location.

We can provide collections for general waste across the District, and recycling in some areas.

We cannot collect Industrial waste or:

• Hazardous waste
• Oils of any description
• Clinical waste
• Commercial white goods
• Garden waste

Recycling

We provide recycling bins in 2 sizes for paper and card -  1100ltr and 660ltr.

Charges for our recycling service are lower than the cost of general waste.

Paper and card items

We collect and recycle the following paper and card items from either bins or purple recycling sacks;

• Mixed paper, packaging, office paper any colour, clean paper bags, envelopes, newspapers, magazines, junk mail, telephone directories and catalogues.
• Cardboard (please flatten).

Food Waste

We collect food waste from our easy to handle 140ltr bins and recycle it just outside the South Hams. For food bin customers, we provide clear food recycling sacks at affordable prices to help keep your bins clean.

• Food waste, including left over kitchen prep
• Plate scrapings
• Coffee grounds
• Out-of-date food (please remove any packaging)
• No liquids, including cream, milk or yoghurts or any type of oil
• Only small bones, no carcases

Small businesses can use the Devon County Council Recycling Centre at Kingsbridge to dispose of trade recyclable cardboard and garden waste at a cost. Registration and further information can be found here.
