Motorcycle Parking
We appreciate parking for motorcycles can be sparse. However, here at South Hams District Council we allocate specific areas in various car parks for motorcycles to park free.
Where there are no dedicated motorcycle bays, free parking is permitted in hatched areas or areas not marked out for cars as long as no obstruction is caused.

What if there is nowhere safe to park?
You are allowed to park in a marked bay, however the standard daily charges would apply. We recommend using our cashless provider RingGo to purchase a ticket. If this is not feasible, then we would ask you to purchase a Pay and Display ticket but keep it on you. If a PCN was to be issued, you would be able to appeal this by sending in your valid ticket along with your letter.
