A number of projects have been planned or are underway to help us achieve our aims and ambitions as set out in The South Hams Council Plan.
These include:
- Working with the agriculture sector to develop a ‘Keep It Local’ scheme to promote local produce and reduce food miles.
- Supporting local communities to identify and bring forward sites for housing through the South Hams Housing Offer.
- Developing town plans with our town councils to support the delivery of local projects.
- Helping communities to set up community composting schemes.
- Launching an annual South Hams Community Awards for residents doing great things in their communities.
- Deliver inward investment, business growth and high-quality job opportunities through the Plymouth and South Devon Freeport.
- Continue to deliver UK Shared Prosperity Fund projects to support our businesses and communities
