Despite increasing pressures, we are setting a balanced budget for 2025/26 thanks to careful financial management. We are forecasting a £3.40m budget gap by 2026/27, mainly due to the Local Government Finance Settlement announced in December 2024 and rising cost pressures.
We’re developing future talent by investing in 9 apprenticeship positions– including an electrician, a planning officer and Life on The Edge apprentices. We’re also helping 5 of our staff gain more qualifications through the apprenticeship levy.
